PALM ANGELS FW 2020
“A Thing Called Sunset”
I had the privilege of directing this runway show film that captures the clothes and the feel of the Palm Angels FW 2020 collection entitled "A Thing Called Sunset." During the night of the show, we not only filmed the show itself but we also shot some of the models in a faux sunset, editorial set up, creating simple and theatrical scenes that helped express the inspiration behind the collection. On top of that, the Palm Angels brand is infused with so many psychedelic and collage style elements which inspired me to mix the cinematic look of the show and editorial scenes with layered iPhone footage of sunsets, skies, and vibrant colors.
The show was on a Sunday night and the final cut of the film was due less than 24 hours later. In the end, we delivered on time and the elements came together to express the soul of the brand with this new launch.
